After Perpetual Vows, the Sisters of
St. Paul of Chartres celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of their
entrance into the Novitiate. The celebration of a Silver Jubilee is an
important aspect of religious life. It is a time of remembering,
rejoicing, and renewing the significant decision made 25 years ago. As
followers of Jesus, they make a choice that has radically influenced the
quarter of a century they have spent in the Lord's vineyard.
We rejoice with our Silver Jubilarians for 2010 who were accepted into
the Novitiate in 1985 and are celebrating silver years of God's
fidelity: Sr. Fely de la Cruz, from the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao; Sr.
Edna Lopez, from the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia; Sr. Judith Bapor,
from the Diocese of Tandag; Sr. Myrna Borromeo, from the Archdiocese of
Cagayan de Oro; Sr. Joseline Lasala, from the Diocese of Surigao; Sr.
Teresita Baricaua, from the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao; Sr. Veneranda
Santos, from the Diocese of Pasig; Sr. Marie Ann Adonacion, from the
Archdiocese of Jaro and Sr. Marie Madeleine Michel from the District of
Switzerland. It is the first time that a Sister from another
geographical division joins the Renewal Program and Jubilee Celebration
of the Philippine Province.
With great joy in their hearts, our Jubilarians thank God for His
unconditional love and fidelity through all these years and for all the
marvelous things He has wrought throughout their religious life.
The main celebrant and homilist is Reverend Father Ramon Maria Luza
Bautista, Master of Novices of the Society of Jesus. Concelebrants are
relatives and friends of our Jubilarians. The Master of Ceremonies is
Reverend Father Joel Camaya, SDB. The altar servers are seminarians from
the Salesians of Don Bosco.
