RENEWAL OF VOWS
February 2, 2010
As our six Sisters pronounce their vows, we invite you
to pray with and for them that they will remain faithful to their
commitment.
When the Sister is called, she answers,
“Here I AM” – a personal response made freely, and manifests her total gift
of self to God and His Kingdom.
When each Sister pronounces her vows of chastity, poverty,
and obedience, she makes a public proclamation and confirmation of her
commitment to belong to God and to live for God.
Our Superior General, Mother Myriam
de St.
Anne Kitcharoen will receive their vows.
Assisted by our Provincial Superior,
Sr. Zeta Caridad Rivero, Mother Myriam will give each Sister a
Crucifix and the Book of Life.
The crucifix symbolizes her
commitment to follow Christ in his exclusive love, total dependence, and
filial obedience to the Father. The
Book of Life manifests her belongingness to the Congregation and
her solidarity with all the sisters of St. Paul of Chartres in the pursuit
of charity through union with God and service of neighbor.
Finally, each Sister will sign the
contract which seals the covenant made to God in and through the
Congregation of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres.
