1, 2, and 3 Years after Perpetual Vows
January 2012

We welcome our Sisters of One Year, Two and Three years after Perpetual Vows as they start their Spiritual Enrichment. The main Theme of this enrichment experience is:

LIVING OUT THE CALL TO BE STEWARDS OF CREATION

IN OUR WORLD TODAY.

The objectives are the following:

A) To take seriously the call to be stewards of creation and awaken us to the presence of God’s spirit on the earth and in nature.

B) To unite ourselves with all Religious in the whole world towards ‘authentically embracing and living out the call to be mystics and prophets’.

Stewardship  is about who we are, what we do and how we do it. A Christian steward sees all of life as a call to faithfulness, faithfulness to God in all things. Every aspect of life is a trust from God that we cultivate faithfully out of respect and love for God.

The clay pot that each Sister offered is a symbol of God’s work- molding us, reshaping us, and redirecting us according to his plan, as he sees fit. It is also a sign of our commitment to work in hopeful and wholehearted ways for transforming change as God’s stewards of creation.

This is our Desired Grace: My Lord Jesus, I beg for the grace of a thankful heart, a heart filled with awe and wonder, knowing that “the Earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it.”You have given us the stewardship of creation.  Help us to take this role seriously by respecting your gift of creation, our simple gesture of praise and thanksgiving.

>We beg Mary, our Mother and Model, to intercede for us.

> We pray with our Patron, St. Paul:  “May the whole creation, O Lord, be set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God.”

  (Rom. 8:21)
